Dr Tolland graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1998. She completed her specialist training in dermatology in 2007. During her specialist training she attended an International Training Program in Dermatology at Harvard Medical School, Boston. She also spent two years carrying out research into Phototoxic skin reactions and was awarded an MD.
Since 2010 Dr Tolland has worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust and she is currently the Clinical Lead for Dermatology. She is also the lead for the Phototherapy service in the Trust and oversees the delivery of Phototherapy and Photodynamic therapy.
Dr Tolland is a member of the British Photodermatology Group. Dr Tolland has presented at dermatology meetings and she has publications in many high impact dermatology journals. She is a supervisor for dermatology trainees and she is involved with teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Dr Tolland treats patients of all ages. She has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all inflammatory skin rashes and in skin cancer screening. She performs surgical procedures including skin biopsies and excisions to remove both benign and cancerous skin lesions.
Dr Tolland is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and is a Member of both the British and Irish Association of Dermatologists.
