Speaker – Andrew Wallace

Andrew is a dentist with a special interest in prosthodontics, endodontics and orthodontics.

Originally qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 1998, Andrew developed an interest in more complex dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. He undertook further training in the treatment of patients with missing teeth using implants and bridgework, as well as in cosmetic makeovers, using porcelain veneers and bonding. In 2015 he was awarded a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry Postgraduate Degree from Kings College London in Prosthodontics.

For over 10 years, Andrew has been lecturing on the topic of minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics as part of the IAS academy and Inman Aligner training, as well as teaching for Philips, Dentsply and Clearcorrect.

Andrew has been accepting referrals for over eight years in fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics and advanced restorative and toothwear cases.

Speaker – Marie Sharkey

Marie qualified in 2011 with Merit in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Following qualification she worked in general dental practice in the North East of England for a few years before returning to Northern Ireland. In 2017 Marie was awarded Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow.

Marie’s postgraduate area of interest is periodontology; this field has grown to encompass the treatment of disease in the supporting tissues surrounding dental implants, in addition to the treatment of gum disease associated with teeth. She completed a Masters with Distinction in Clinical Periodontology in 2022 at the University of Central Lancashire.

Marie is committed to developing patient focused treatment plans. She prides herself on her evidence-based approach to treatment planning and frequently attends courses focusing on the field of periodontology, including a recent visit to Italy to study at the Zucchelli Institute. She offers a wide range of treatments including surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies. Marie is a member of the British Society of Periodontology.
